On the Edge of a Volcano
Narcis Zohrehnassab: The third Dancing on the Edge festival, featuring contemporary dance and theatre performances from the Middle East and North Africa, will take place from the 6th to the 17th of December in five Dutch cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen and The Hague. The artistic director of the festival, Gary Feingold, is a Jewish former dancer from Los Angeles who has lived abroad for 30 years. He had originally envisioned a festival featuring Israeli and Palestinians performers, but instead it's become a showcase for Middle Eastern arts and culture and an opportunity to acquaint European audiences with the many interesting developments in the performing arts that are taking place in the region.
